Final Reflection
In this class I have learned so many useful things that I can use as an educator. I have been very interested in learning how to operate Prezi.com and how to create different layouts in Prezi. It is probably my most favorite tool that we have used. I would have liked to learn more about video blogs and video presentations, but overall the ScreenCast assignment was helpful. I hope to take these tools and utilize them in my future classroom and make it easier for my students to learn and interact while using technology.
Assignment 8: Reflection
For our presentation my group had Academic Dishonesty and Plagiarism. I learned about the different things that are considered academic dishonesty, how popular plagiarism is and exactly how you can be punished for these acts here at The University of Alabama. I am now more aware of how it is very important to cite all information gathered and to give credit where it is deserved. My group and I worked very well together and I enjoyed hearing each person's perspective on this topic. The most interesting thing that I learned is that The University of Alabama promotes a website called TurnItIn.com where you can submit your assignments to check for plagiarism.

Assignment 7: Virtual Tour
I enjoyed creating the Virtual Tour of the White House. It was more of a challenge than I originally thought. It was hard to get the pages to link together and create an even flowing project. With my virtual tour I hoped to give my students a glimpse at the White House without them ever having to leave their computer. For the assignment I have my student's creating a PowerPoint presentation where they can demonstrate exactly what they learned from the tour as well as their current technological skill set.

In-class Activity: Virtual Tour Evaluation
Virtual Tour:
http://www.uen.org/utahlink/tours/tourFames.cgi?tour_id=13293
Grade I Gave:
40.5/60
Review:
This virtual tour was titled "Get to Know Yourself!" This tour went through everything from self-esteem, life-style, intelligence, to being healthy. Overall the content was pretty well written and informative. The tour did not include any videos and the photos were not descriptive toward the subject matter. I believe if at least one video would have been included that related to the subject matter it would have kept the tour exciting.

Website Review: Evernote
Review of Website:
Evernote is a website that allows you to “take note” of
practically anything that you encounter on the web. You can access Evernote from
almost every computer, tablet and phone.
How This Tool Can
Assist With Teaching:
This website could assist a teacher with storing information
to later be used in lesson plans. If you are searching the web and come across
something that can benefit you then you can just take a photo of it, clip it or
just save the information to Evernote. Evernote is pretty much an online file
folder for all of the documents you want to store.

Website Review: Diigo
Review of Website
This website allows you to share, bookmark and store pages
to read later all in one area.
How This Tool Can
Assist With Teaching
I believe that this website can be somewhat beneficial for
teachers in the classroom. This website would allow teachers to store websites
as they are searching through lesson plans or other tools for teaching. For
instance, if the teacher is not teaching about counting right now and they come
across a good counting lesson plan, they can store it for later. It would also
be beneficial because it will allow you to share it with other teachers with a
click of a button.

Assignment 6: Website Evaluation and Content Evaluation
Assignment 6
Website: www.iknowthat.com
I reviewed www.iknowthat.com. This website is very useful and educational on many different levels. It has the grade levels and the different subjects broken down so it makes it easy to find an interactive game for the area you need help with. The game I played was Grammar Galaxy. It is an interactive game that allows you to click and distinguish different parts of speech to earn points and move up levels. The only thing that I did not like about this specific game is that it does not tell you what part of speech the wrong identified words are. I will be book marking this website to use as a tool for my classroom.
Website: www.planetary.org/
This website is useful for presenting students with a useful resource to learn more about space, planets and current space projects. There are several different Scientist that have up-to-date blogs that talk about current things that they are working on and researching. This website also has a kids sections where you can watch Bill Nye videos. I really did not find anything on the site that was out-of-date or that was inaccurate information. I would use this website if I was teaching Space Science to my classroom.
